Story Summary

If you are looking for a children’s book with rapid-fire action, intriguing mysteries to be solved, and relatable characters to dive into danger with, this is the book for you. A thrilling time travel adventure occurs in the most fantastically unlikely fashion as two British siblings struggle to adjust to their new London home. Observant 8-year–old Tom and lonely 11-year-old Stella embark on a quest to solve the little mysteries around them like where the next-door neighbor’s dog keeps disappearing to and why the gardener is out to get them. But before they know it, they are literally climbing into a much bigger (and older) kind of MYSTERY altogether. In the end, their journey through time accomplishes much more than quenching Stella’s longing for a friend or Tom’s desire for adventure. A man’s honor is restored, a family is reunited, and justice is served when a villain is prevented from carrying out his evil schemes.

Readers discover that friendship means so much more than spending time together. Sometimes, it even means risking everything, putting yourself on the line for the other person. It means deciding to overcome fear and do what is right, no matter the consequences for yourself. It means looking out for one another and staying firm, refusing to give up when things get tough. After all, distance is no object to true friendship, and neither is time, especially when the magical moles are on your side. Don’t miss out on this short yet exhilarating modern children’s classic adventure tale that is just as heartwarming as it is action-packed!
